GAME OF THRONES-The Best Episodes

We have talked about the overall context of the show and the royal families in the show. Today I’m going to talk about the best episodes in each season. I would also talk about the plot of the show without any spoilers but that would be a tough thing but I will try to keep it clean of any plot changing information. Let’s get into it shall we?

Season 1,

In this season the show ill centre in the Stark’s. Ned Stark will be called up to be an adviser by his friend which he will accept. A bad idea because of the Lannisters infestation in King’s Landing. When Ned finds out about the illegal activity he will come to know why his predecessor was murdered. There will be a parallel where the Targaryen’s would try to have a comeback to claim the throne. These are just the story in the surface and I haven’t even scratched the surface. There would be a lot of political game play action that will take place in the first season. Just watch it on you own because it’s a lot fun that way than me explaining it. The best episodes to look out for are “Lord Snow” and “The Wolf and the Lion”.

Season 2,

In this season the coverage of the show expands into many plot lines. The main parts of the season consists of the battle between the Stark and Lannister’s. Robb Stark will lead the army to get vengeance for his father. Jon snow will have problems in the night’s watch after his capture by a wildling. Still many political games will be played in king’s Landing and at one point it will also be attacked by Stannis Baratheon after his claim on the throne. The various houses of royalties will be shown to us in the show with the House of Greyjoy being important in this season. Daenerys Targaryen will still find her own way in the world as she will move on to find herself an army with her three dragons by her side. Not too shabby for a queen. The best episodes of the season are “The North Remembers” and “Valar Morghulis”.

Season 3,

In this season the war will be ended after a betrayal that would be committed by Lord Frey,an ugly one but an effective one nonetheless and with the war ending with the Stark and the victory over Stannis the Lannisters would have cemented their place in King’s Landing. However they would forced to play a new political game with the Tyrell’s. Daenerys would find herself a new army to rule over all seven kingdoms. It would be nice to see some members of the Stark family doing their best to escape their enemies and problems to get home except for Bran would go out on a quest. The best episodes to look out for are “Walk of Punishment” and “The Rains of Castamere”.

Season 4,

This season was promised to be a return for the good guys who have been done wrong by the monsters in the fictional world. However there would be just one instance in the show where that would be the case but that one moment is enough. The Bolton’s would also be introduced to us this season where they will take over Winterfell. They would even to hunt down the Stark’s missing boys. The wall will be attacked by the wildlings but the intervention of Stannis would save them all. Tyrion would have tough time in the show but he will be saved by his friend and his brother. He will find something sad in the show and he would be forced to a horrible thing. Daenerys will choose to settle down in Meereen to control the place for a peaceful place to emerge. The best episodes to look out for are “Two Swords” and “Mockingbird”.

Season 5,

The struggle between the masters and slaves in Meereen will rise which will cause an uprising in the place. Daenerys life will be targeted but she will saved by her dragon in a bad-ass way. Jon snow will have a go at the White Walkers but he will be come short in fighting. However he will be close to the Wildlings which means that his life was threatened in the night’s watch. Tyrion would find a safe haven, kind off after reaching Meereen. Stannis would try to kill Ramsey to give Winterfell back to Jon and he would be faced with a sad demise. The politics in King’s Landing would have reached new heights after the introduction of the high spectre. The best episodes to look out for are “Sons of the Harpy” and “The Wars to Come”.

Season 6,

The best of them all just because of the sheer amount of action in the show. Not just that everything that was built up in the show converges to this season. After the end of each season the fans will be kept in a cliffhanger but after this one we all know what’s coming don’t we?War,the biggest war of them all is ready to come but that’s not just the big thing in the season. There would also be some sad deaths in this season but as a game of thrones fan we must stomach those situations because there is going to be many of them. Jon would fight Ramsey in an epic battle where he would win by the skin of his teeth. Finally the house of Winterfell would rightly go to Stark who will be anointed as the king of the north. The best episodes to look out for are “Battle of the Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter”.

However the show is large and dense with the stories taking various directions and shapes. Therefore watch everything to know everything about the show. You won’t regret any part of it.
